Community Forestry Partnership Project Interest Form
We are very excited that you are interested in supporting urban and community forests of Erie County! This interest form is meant for groups, not individuals, looking to plant trees, distribute trees, or provide a forestry education opportunity. If you are an individual not representing a group, please check out erie.gov/trees for resources. If you are representing a group, please confirm the following is true: I have reviewed the Project Area Map on www.erie.gov/trees and confirmed that I wish to serve residents within the Project Area.

Erie County and our partners can support tree planting efforts and workshops in various ways. Below are some ideas. Select all that your group is interested in below.
Lead a Tree Planting
Plant 5 or more trees. Erie County will provide the trees and your group would plant the trees.
Host a Tree Give Away
Host Erie County Forestry at a community site to distribute 50 or more trees to property owners in the project area. Erie County would provide the trees and you would recruit the property owners.
A Group Tour of the Freedom Food Forest at JFK Park
Bring a group to the Gail V. Wells Freedom Food Forest in Buffalo for a Tour. Freedom Gardens would lead the tour and you would coordinate the group.
A Group Tour of the Erie County Tree Nursery
Bring a group to the Erie County Native Tree Nursery in Sardinia for a Tour. Erie County Forestry would lead the tour and you would coordinate the group.
Host a Native Tree Diversity Workshop
Provide a space and an audience to learn about local trees and their benefits. Erie County or Partners would lead the workshop and you would coordinate the space and audience.
Host a Tree Planting Workshop
Provide a space and an audience to learn from Project Experts about how to plant a tree. Erie County or Partners would lead the workshop and you would coordinate the space and audience.
Host a Tree Care Workshop
Provide a space and an audience to learn how to care for a tree. Erie County or Partners would lead the workshop and you would coordinate the space and audience.
Distribute Outreach Materials
Bring Native Tree Books, Tree Church Fans, Coloring Sheets and other forestry outreach materials to a community event for distribution. Erie County would provide the materials and coordinate the drop off.
